Wight Bus Lines is a family owned and run business that has been in operation since 1962 which was founded by Lyle Wight.  In 1976 the company was purchased by Larry Ainsworth, who had many years prior experience in the School Bus Industry.  In 1984, Larry’s Son Geoff became General Manager. Larry’s other son’s Jim Ainsworth is Manager of the Point Edward Division, and Paul Ainsworth is Assistant Manager of the Petrolia Division.
We provide reliable school transportation under contract with Chatham Kent Lambton Administrative School Services which consists of  the Lambton Kent District School Board and the St Clair Catholic School Board.   We safely transport students daily to and from school primarily in the Lambton County area and take pride in the fact we are serve and are part of the lives of the families in our community.
We offer charter service for schools, as well as many non school organization charter trips.
In September 2009, Wight Bus Lines absorbed Point Edward’s Dinyer Bus Lines, busses, drivers and routes, thus doubling the size of the company.  Our Main office is at 520 Front Street Point Edward ON with our second location at 410 Kentail Street Petrolia ON
